Rubjerg Knude Lighthouse

This iconic lighthouse stands majestically atop a shifting sand dune and offers spectacular views of the North Sea. In 2019, it was moved 70 metres away from the coast to protect it from erosion.

Mårup Kirke

The former Romanesque church from the 13th century was partially demolished in 2008 due to coastal erosion. The remains of the church and the surrounding cemetery bear witness to the dramatic history of the area.

Lønstrup Klint

This impressive cliff stretches along the coast and is the result of centuries of natural erosion, making it a fascinating place for nature and geology enthusiasts. Lønstrup Klint is a high, clayey cliff that stretches along the coast south of the town and is living proof of the forces of the sea and wind – the area is constantly eroding.

At the cliff, you can walk along the beach and experience the many small springs and streams that seep out of the cliff.

Pastures and nature around Haurholm

Haurholm and the area southeast of Lønstrup are home to nature reserves with peaceful forests, heaths and small bogs – all ideal for quiet nature experiences and bird watching. In and around Lønstrup, you will find excellent opportunities for picnics, tranquillity and reflection.

The dunes at Lønstrup and the nearby inland dunes are some of the most fascinating and distinctive landscapes in North Jutland. They are of geological, biological and aesthetic value – and offer unique nature experiences that differ from the rugged coastline.

Arts and crafts

KERAMODA

KERAMODA was one of the first creative workshops. It was started by Mogens Falkenberg in 1979 and has now been taken over by his daughter Vibe Falkenberg. KERAMODA has supplied all the beautiful bedside lamps we have in our apartments.
